The Chord Chair explores the circular form through the structure of a chair. A carved solid seat reveals the natural tone of the wood, set against a dark-stained rectilinear frame, while a continuous structure holds and contains the form. Repetition is used to create clarity and stability within a minimal framework.

The work reflects a balance of eastern and western influences, shaped through a contemporary approach.

Made from locally sourced English sweet chestnut, the chair is crafted by hand using traditional techniques.
